Once again BAG END Loudspeaker Systems has heard industry sound designers, contractors and consultants – and responded. BAG END unveiled a pair of low-profile cabinets at the 2003 AES Show Oct. 10-14 in New York City: the double-18 D18E-AD and the double-12 D12E-DA loudspeaker systems. “The new low-profile cabinets are a direct response from sound designers, sound contractors and consultants who requested such a design,” James P. Wischmeyer, president of BAG END Loudspeaker Systems, said. “We are always eager to develop solutions to problems brought to us.” “We have always been fortunate that professionals who appreciate the sound our products reproduce, are willing to work with us to develop new ideas,” Wischmeyer said. “And we have also been fortunate that our research and development people are clever and experienced enough to find solutions.” The two new loudspeaker systems, the D18E-AD and the D12E-DA retain the same specifications – other than height – as their original siblings. And they perform just as well in the lower profile enclosures. The D18E-AD, for example is only 15 inches high compared to 22-inch height of its conventional, upright brother, the D18E-I. The D12E-DA is also just 9 inches high, compared to the 18˝-height of the upright D12E-I. SPECIFICATIONS FOR THE BAG END D18E-AD ENCLOSURE: Drivers: 2
