BAG END SIGNS FIRM TO LEAD INTERNATIONAL MARKETING EFFORT

BAG END Loudspeaker Systems announced it has signed a Virginia firm to lead its international marketing/sales effort.

The joint announcement was made by Jim Wischmeyer, president of BAG END and Gordon Peter Gerstheimer, president of Spectral Balance Pro Audio & Lighting of Chesapeake, Va. Spectral Balance is an import/export sales management company that markets pro audio and lighting products to distributors primarily in the European Economic Community, Eastern Europe, Central and South America and Asia.

“Spectral Balance has many years of experience in international pro audio and a proven track record of success in markets that can be very daunting to those unfamiliar with the subtleties of international sales,” Wischmeyer said. “While we have done very well in some international markets, we think Gordon and his people possess the ability to generate a great deal of new business for us.”

Spectral Balance will be responsible for BAG END sales in a large number of international markets, Wischmeyer said. Gerstheimer, who is fluent in English, German, Portuguese and French, lived for a long period of time in Europe and Brazil while directing international sales forces for several high-profile, multinational firms, including Selenium and Sony.

“We are extremely pleased to have established a relationship with BAG END,” Gerstheimer said. “The company enjoys an exceptionally good reputation for the high-quality of its workmanship, technology and signature sound. It is already well established in some international markets and has a presence in others, but we hope to take it to the next level by introducing BAG END’s name and product line to international markets it has not penetrated thus far.”
