BAG END NOW OFFERS ALL CABINETS IN WHITE AT NO ADDITIONAL COST | ||

Henry Ford was often quoted as saying you could buy his new Model-T, “in any color you want, so long as its black.” Although BAG END Loudspeaker Systems has always offered its cabinets in a variety of custom finishes, black was the predominant color of cabinets rolling off the Barrington, IL, manufacturer’s production lines. Now for the first time ever, BAG END is offering the majority of its line of loudspeaker systems in white, as well as black, at no extra cost. "We have been manufacturing white cabinets for years – as a custom option at a small additional cost,” said James P. Wischmeyer, president of BAG END Loudspeaker Systems. "But the demand for white cabinets has gotten so strong, we reached the decision that it just made sense to offer white as a standard option." "It may seem like a simple thing, but the modification of our production process required a considerable amount of planning and implementation," Wischmeyer said. "We are happy that we were able to find a way to do it – and keep costs in check." The company still offers all of their products in the basic finishes of black textured catalyzed urethane finish or carpet. And it continues to offer a number of optional, custom finishes, including raw wood, hand-rubbed oiled birch and a variety of fine woods. |
